As far as selling points go, the Brass Monkey is all but unique. After all, how many other bars to you know which actually have a cinema in their back room? Not only that, but one with big, plush Eastern-style seats so you can make yourself at home while you view one of the daily 3pm screenings from the Monkey’s extensive DVD library. Otherwise it’s simply a popular and reasonably stylish place to hang out, but the square-eyed among Edinburgh’s pub-going clientele speak of it most highly.
