	One of the widest-ranging multi-arts festivals in the country, the West End Festival seems to swallow the West End's entire cultural output for the three weeks of its duration. The sterling music line-up (which in 2011 featured The Horrors, Alasdair Roberts and the Fence Collective) and the carnivalesque Festival Sunday are especially noteworthy. 	The WEF's programme of guided walks includes something on almost every day of the festival, focusing mainly on the architecture and heritage of the area, from a graveyard stroll and a tour of the best tenements in town, to a cinema-themed walk taking in purpose built halls and the peculiarly Scottish 'back court' theatres.
