This review is taken from the current (2011) edition.
Located among a spate of trendy drinking bars towards the West End of Bath Street, Moskito is a rabbit warren of an institution, with copious nooks and crannies to hang out and enjoy a glass of something from the extensive drinks menu. The selection of cocktails – with the Long Island Iced Tea particularly impressing – plus a wide range of bottled beers and nine wines by the glass all provide the perfect foil for the food on offer. For light snack the ‘bites’ section of the menu has ideal portions of spicy or Asian chicken strips, as well as olives and other nibbles. The main menu contains the perennial favourite steak pie – full of succulent meat encased in crisp pastry – while the Tex Mex burger is certainly not for the faint-hearted, with jalapeños galore. Moskito is also serious about music, with a line-up of well-known DJs hitting the decks from 10pm onwards from Wednesday to Sunday. Populated by young professionals with disposable incomes at weekends, the bar maintains balance by offering reasonable drink deals aimed at students throughout the week.
- High point: Impressive DJ line-up
- Low point: Maze-like layout

I love this place for lunch.
Best bar meal in Glasgow in my opinion.
Really cannot look past this place when I'm going for a lunch in the city.
Good food, good portions and pleasant surroundings. Also decent staff who have been there for years.
