Nobles is a very real contender for one of the best pubs in Leith. The Victorian building has been revamped just enough so that it feels fresh but mercifully there are no vacuous style-bar trappings to be found here. The large, dark wood bar takes centre stage, with nautical stained glass in keeping with the location and other character-adding touches including a selection of framed vintage postcards adorning the walls in the ladies. They stock an impressive selection of Scottish beers, which you are encouraged to taste before ordering (service is immaculate), including those from brewers Black Isle and BrewDog. The menu features refined pub classics such as Toulouse sausage and spring onion mash, and beef Wellington served with a red wine reduction, but it’s the desserts that really stand out. A dense, warm home-made chocolate brownie comes swimming in velvety dark chocolate sauce, and 'cranachan knickerbocker glory' is a genius marriage of classic Scottish and American diner.
- High point: Impeccable service and desserts to die for
- Low point: Live mid-week background music can stray into happy-clappy territory

Went there for food on Friday, we had the Pork Collar and Rabbit Burger. Both super tasty and washed down with some Black Isle Blonde. Really impressed with the 'pub' food and i'd class it as pub food only due to the prices.
Fantastic mix of top food, drink, atmosphere, and live music. Highly recommend to anyone for a night out, the bands that night were great fun and very original.
Only gripe is there are only a few deserts..I want cake !

This is my favourite bar in the world, never mind Leith. The food is great. Best fish and chips anywhere but I've never had a duff meal or drink of any description. The chocolate brownie is fantastic. The staff are all pleasant and welcoming. There are plenty of activities - music, open mic night and quiz. The decor is traditional yet original. Dogs are welcome.

Really Great food, staff and atmosphere!
The interior is superb with so many traditional features lovingly brought up to date. The service was excellent and I was very pleased with both the price and the quality of my lunch!
Five stars!

Went there last night. Great little place and the food was good, freshly prepared and appeared to be locally sourced.
A wide menu and had difficulty choosing what to have which is always a good place to be as it makes you wanna go back.
Great little breakfast menu.
Only downside... not enough options on the dessert menu.
