The eye-catching Camera Obscura building (which is lit up with different colours at night) stands at the top of the Royal Mile and contains an amazing range of optical experiences across five floors, including the Vortex, Mirror Maze and Shrinking and Growing room, all of which are as much fun for adults as for kids. Crowning it all is the Rooftop Experience, with fantastic views across the city. The ‘camera’ itself is a giant periscope inside the Victorian rooftop tower, giving an entirely different 360° perspective on Edinburgh.
