Attracting mixed reviews already, this new kid on the Gibson Street block is a Lebanese sit-in over two floors and a take-away serving more than 50 halal dishes ranging from falafel and shawarma to seafood and pastry. The shawarma is a staple fast food in the Middle East, a juicy doner kebab/gyros type of sandwich wrap, and fast-food is the main focus here. A typical starter is the fattet hummus: layers of chickpeas, toasted bread and crushed garlic topped with pine kernels. The pine kernels and bread are invisible beneath the overwhelming chick peas and yoghurt – it's not without taste though. The main dishes include mixed grill, roast lamb or chicken, or moussaka for the non-carnivores. Teething problems at present include slightly unreliable opening times, which are due in part to lack of custom at certain times, but special offers – such as buy one, get one half price on a couple of days and a two-course lunch for £6.95 – might attract more locals.
- High point: Broad menu, something a bit different
- Low point: Unpredictable opening hours

Fantastic food!. My wife and I popped in and had the mixed lebanese starter for two, and a chicken shawarma main served at the same time, mezze style.
So many different flavours, an assault on the senses! I'll be back very soon, and a coffee afterwards in Artisan roast next door. Good times.

We had a lovely relaxing meal here on a Friday night. The food was tasty and the service was friendly and attentive. The menu was very varied – we chose a couple of familiar dishes and a couple we didn’t know about — but everything was flavoursome and fresh, and presented in an appealing way.
The music was unobtrusive and the portions were just right. We were pleasantly full by the end of the meal, which turned out to be a very reasonable price. Not sure what else I would ask of a meal out - a bit more company would have been nice, though!
