More a bar with food than a formal restaurant, Boteco do Brasil feels like it might erupt into unbridled salsa dancing at any minute. There’s plenty of live entertainment throughout the week, from football on big screens to live music, open mic nights and the aforementioned dancing, perhaps fuelled by the excellent range of cocktails. While the branding’s Brazilian, the menu has a pan-global feel with pizzas, sandwiches and burgers also featuring. That aside, meat and carbs are the stars here. A starter of carne de sol is a generous portion of spiced beef, served with onion and cassava chunks. Moqueca is a slow-cooked fish and prawn dish combining the sweetness of coconut milk with a chilli kick. Accompanied by rice and flavoured cassava flour, it’s complex yet light. Meanwhile, the truly carnivorous may prefer feijoada, a festive stew with beans and four different types of meat. Desserts are few but the chocolate truffle is a treat; a cocoa-dense exterior hiding a caramel core, leaving your tastebuds dancing, even if your feet aren’t.
- High point: Sunshine-soaked party atmosphere
- Low point: Vegetarians may feel left out in the rain

Boteco do BrasilReport -
I've been there with my family and a friend for a Sunday lunch. The Brazilian tapas were all very well made (not large portions though). Anyway the 3 for 9 deal is good value for money, chance for everybody try a little of each. Good environment, nice décor.

Boteco do BrasilReport -
Was really excited when I saw a poster advertising a new Brazillian restaurant in Glasgow!! After spending many happy years in Rio I could not wait to try the food and hopefully drinks of the vibrant wonderful country of my memories. I was not dissapointed the ambiance was buzzing ....staff really enthusiastic and food fantastic only thing missing was the sun and sand!!!
