This review is taken from the current (2011) edition.
Located in a residential area in the Southside, Maharajahs is both a restaurant and takeaway/delivery offering a wide variety of Bangladeshi and Indian dishes. An informative website presents the restaurant’s range of vegetarian and seafood starters, curries, tandoori specialities and biryani dishes. Starters include a puri pancake alongside fat prawns tossed with spicy tomatoes, onions and ginger. A Malaysian curry with chicken and pineapple is mellow and fruity, and the garlic naan is satisfyingly bubbly. The Maharajahs also provides a catering service to large parties and delivers free within a two-mile radius.
