	While Ralph Vaughan Williams was writing sketches one day in 1914 for his celebrated sort-of-concerto The Lark Ascending, he happened to be watching troopships taking British soldiers to France. A small boy saw him, thought he was writing in code and reported him to a policeman, who went on to arrest the composer. (Vaughan Williams, unlike the Clash, really did Fight The Law.)
