A genuine treat lies in store for theatre and cinema goers five minutes from the top of Leith Walk. Styled towards understated sophistication, the imported Thai furnishings and subtle lighting create an oasis of calm, a far cry from other nearby venues. All colours of curries are accounted for, rich with coconut milk but lightened with fresh herbs and generous chunks of bamboo and aubergine. Numerous Thai stir-fries compete for diners' attention, including a wider range of fish and seafood than is typically available. Steamed sea bass with lime sauce is delicate and light, set off by citrus, lemongrass and chilli. Or try the trout with a spicy sauce and scallops with asparagus. The chef has a light touch but an adventurous ambition to make this relative newcomer to Edinburgh’s Thai scene a leader of the pack. The restaurant's main weakness is that its slightly hidden location hinders chance discovery, but the quality produced by this kitchen, supported by friendly and confident staff, means that it won’t be a secret for long.
- High point: Extensive seafood options demand repeat visits
- Low point: The wine list doesn’t live up to the creative menu

Hidden Gem!
This restaurant is brilliant - I had my friends and family here for my birthday meal and everyone was very happy with their meals.
The restaurant itself is really beautiful too.I only live a minute away and quite often phone in an order too - Great food always!
