Buoyed along by Finnieston’s up-and-coming status, Neighbourhood is a welcome addition to this drag of independent pubs and cafes. Just opening at the end of March, this small bar has been kitted out with trendy décor with cool tunes, serving up a fine array of cocktails along with imported lager in tall, tall glasses. Considering the paint has only just dried on the walls, the fledgling menu promises good things to come. Smoked haddock fish-cakes are light and fluffy on the inside, served with a garlic mayonnaise and a flourish of nicely dressed salad. The caesar salad is a mountain of fresh, crisp lettuce in which lurks shredded chicken, generous shavings of parmesan and whole anchovies. Burgers are homemade; the Cajun chicken burger is a huge breast of spicy chicken snug in a toasted ciabatta, complete with a helping of salad and a heap of huge, crispy homemade chips. Desserts are light, delicious and are clearly homemade, the sticky toffee pudding being especially good. The menu shows a commitment to doing simple, tasty dishes well, and with this sort of attitude Neighbourhood deserves to become a stalwart of the, well, neighbourhood.
- High point: Good food in trendy setting
- Low point: Table in booth a tight fit

I didn't not enjoy eating or being in this place.
I was assured that Finnieston was up and coming and by the look of the Crab shack, Lebowskis and the not yet open Monkey Business we were in for a treat.
A treat was not what we experienced. The man whole called himself the manager had this air of arrogance about him in a very shifty looking way. He served us but we didn't feel comfortable as he never smiled and never looked at us.
Anyway, we ordered pizzas which we assumed were hand made except they weren't. The pizza bases were like cardboard and the Tomato base was straight out of a jar. Even though i left 75% of my pizza, the manager couldn't have cared less as he didn't even ask me if everything was ok.
I voted with my feet and vowed never to be back and i'm now voting with my fingers.
Don't be put of Finnieston by this review; i shall be sticking to The Crab Shack for my fish and Lebowskis for my meat in the future. - 2. clare&james, glasgow – 31 January 2010, 1:30pm

We won't be back, its ghostly quiet, no customers, bad service and the ladies toilets were unclean. Food was ok but we dont dine out for ok food espsecially with those portion sizes. One to avoid.
