The 2011/12 edition of The List's Eating & Drinking Guide is out now – only £5.95 (+p&p).
This review is taken from the 2010 edition.
Open for two years, Rossano McCulloch – owner and head chef – purposely chose this tucked-away location on the premise that customers would seek out his restaurant, as opposed to just walking by and popping in. And given the inviting atmosphere created by an efficient husband and wife team serving and chatting with customers all night, it should come as no surprise that Rossano’s is regularly packed out at weekends. The menu offers simple, traditional, and above all tasty Italian fare – with an impressive variety of pizzas and pasta courses, as well as a small selection of chicken and fish dishes for anyone wishing to be carb-free. The calamari starter is tender to the bite and much too good to share, and the mains are substantial enough to satisfy even the hungriest of diners. A mozzarella cheese and tomato pizza with basil comes with a light crust, while the creamy chicken pasta sounds rich but is not at all, the sauce is delicate and full of herbs.
- High point: Excellent atmosphere and service
- Low point: Rather too tucked away

Rossano'sReport -
Have just ate at Rossanos for the second time with my family, once again the food and the service was great. Menu is typical Italian and offers good value for money. Staff and chef/owner provide the personal touch you rarely recieve in most restaurants nowadays and I'll be back without a doubt. Unlike Susan/R I'm more than happy to know chef/owner buys his meat from a reputal butcher and may also sell the same wine as a well renowned supermarket so if like my family your fed up with lack of parking and being over priced in west end restaurants head over to Anniesland and try Rossanos. Won't dissapoint.

Rosannos - just stay at home and save the money !! Ordered a bottle of the Pinot Grigio - just under £16 and was served a bottle of £3.79 Lidil wine , asked about the steak - sirloin (£15.95?) and they buy it from next door Morrisons for a tenner off of £100 I could have made this at home

This small Italain restaurant is very good value and has a friendly host. There's lots of parking nearby (Morrison's Car Pk) but as ist's located in the part of Crow road cut off by Anniesland cross it's not so easy to find. The food is tasty and well presented. Worth seeking out
