The Pier is a delightful little hotel with warm, welcoming hosts. We were in the front room and had a quiet and restful stay. The downfall, which in my opinion would be easily remedied, did tarnish our stay. The towels we were provided with were old, stained and non matching. They were akin to the ones I keep in the back of the car for emergency clean ups. Also, there was no fresh soap or toiletries supplied, as I had not brought my own I was obliged to use the pump hand soap from the basin for showering. Finally, the yoghurts provided for the complimentary breakfast were out of date. As I said, these are easily addressed issues and I hope that the owners do in fact spend a little bit of money to make this place the truly relaxing experience it could be.
