Dragon Way

Although related to the Dragon Way restaurants in Clerk Street (undergoing a massive refurb in spring 2008) and Portobello, and offering a takeaway and delivery service drawn from a similar menu, this incarnation of the franchise is a smaller concern. There's nothing too ambitious about the dishes, apart from the range on offer, but that's not the point. What Dragon Way does, it does very well. For starters, the first adjective of crispy spring rolls is actually warranted, and is equally applicable to the sesame prawn toast. The mains are substantial and a tangy chilli salt chicken or a subtly fiery deep-fried shredded beef should pretty much take care of the heartiest appetite. There's also the occasional freebie thrown in, such as some banana fritters or a bottle of soy sauce.
