The Easter Road and Leith Walk area of town is home to a growing number of top-quality takeaways and one of the first of these, Ricebox, is still going strong. It has a huge menu providing a variety of standard and unusual dishes alongside pak choi and tofu offerings. American film lovers will appreciate the fact that your meal arrives at your door complete with fortune cookies, wooden chopsticks and napkins. There is a wide range of set meals available for two, three or four people looking for a feast. Pickier diners could also try kicking off with the very tasty mixed fried appetisers, which provide a mouthful of five of the best traditional starters. Handily, Ricebox marks up its menu with gluten-free choices and options where it can use the gluten-free soy sauce substitute tamari, if requested. Spicy dishes, dishes containing nuts, and veggie dishes are now marked-up in the menu too. Online ordering is also available.
