The 2011/12 edition of The List's Eating & Drinking Guide is out now – only £5.95 (+p&p).
This review is taken from the 2010 edition.
The sleek, black, modern façade of Dakota at the Forth Road Bridge has an intriguing and slightly aloof quality. But once inside, this stylish hotel restaurant oozes class and sophistication. Chef Roy Brett's menu is dominated by seafood – one highlight being a platter of oysters, lobster and crab served on a tower of ice – but there are a variety of land-based options as well. Dakota has set its standards high, with its sustainable sourcing policies endorsed by the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC).
