The List's Eating & Drinking Guide 2008 is now in the shops. This review is taken from the 2007 edition.

We only spotted this new 'Kurdish Oriental' restaurant - apparently named after a town in Iraqi Kurdistan - in the run-up to printing our 14th edition of The List Eating & Drinking Guide. Perhaps Shaqlawa, the restaurant, is more evidence of 1) the growing popularity of Kurdish-influenced food, 2) increasing immigration from the Middle East and 3) perhaps Finnieston's arrival as a bona fide foodie destination.
