Just as the name suggests, there is a very chilled-out vibe in this little Southside café. Think hippie trail stop-off spots in Goa, Phuket, or Zipolite - vibrant orange walls with bright paper garlands, fairy-lights strung across plants and cacti, and paintings on the walls that can only be described as psychedelic, man. It may sound like sensory overload, but, as you sit at one of the chunky, ethnic tables, listening to dub reggae, the relaxed atmosphere lets you gently drift far, far away. The all-day breakfast menu is very popular - offerings of free-range scrambled eggs with or without smoked salmon, yoghurt with blossom honey, fruit and nuts, or the perennial bacon or sausage roll (one loyal regular claims the latter are the best ever tasted). There is a selection of sandwiches, from regular cheese and onion or BLTs to a chunky home-made hummus, black olive, red pepper and feta (have it in a warm pita pocket for authentic mezze flavour). Baked potatoes come with the same fillings. The service is friendly and laid-back (although deceptively quick!), and they are quite happy for you just to take your time and mellow.
