Had a pasta dish and it was cooked to perfection. House wine was excellent value for money. Staff were friendy and efficient. We booked a table for six and seated downstairs but it was so noisy that I couldn't hear any conversation from the other end of the table.

We have eaten here on many occasions, and have always found the staff to be friendly, the service good, the food consistently good and very reasonably priced

I have been to Italy may times and I have to say that this Italian resturant is very good. Italian cusine is well known for the high quality of its products. When you cook with such product you don't need anything else and also the most simple recipe become gorgeous.
That is what happen at Vittoria. Great food and nice people everytime. Very recommended

An excellent Christmas lunch with colleagues. Very good service despite being very busy. A good location too, in George IV Bridge, next to the Royal Mile. I loved the Divino Enoteca, same building, you can access through the internal stairs or through the entrance in merchant street. A place to come back.

Dear Foodetiquette, We are really sorry to read your review and we immediately made an investigation on it, but there is no evidence about what you describe in your comment. Episodes like the one you reported are not acceptable and we would really appreciate if you could contact us in order to give more details about this unpleasant accident. Kind regards

Lovely quaint and authentic restaurant. To be visited on lunchtime or early evening. Evening is typically busy so would recomend pre-booking if there is a crowd but you should be OK of there are just the two of you. Lunchtimes are a much more relaxed with time to enjoy the fantastic food and the wine. Staff are attentive and helpful and don't hassle you for orders or anything else. Definitely a place to recommend

We found this restaurant by chance one evening and decided to try it - the best thing we could have done!
Having travelled to Italy several times, I can say that not only was the food delicious but typically Italian. The selection of wines were good and the best Tiramisu that I have tasted outside of Italy!
Great place, great service, great atmosphere, great food and good value for money. We will definitely be back!

I recently had a poor experience in the vittoria restaurant chain in Edinburgh where after i was thoroughly disappointed after eating the 450g T bone which was recommended to me by a member of staff of which i paid 17.50, what i received was not well done but infact raw and when i politely asked if if i could possibly have another steak or something else which would be cooked sufficiently i was told to leave the restaurant to much of my dismay as i was recommended to go to the restaurant by a friend of mine from Manchester who went to edinburgh who said he had a similar experience beforehand but the restaurant is apparently good, however, due to my experience that i have had and other members of my food critiqing firm have had, these restaurants offer shocking service, in particular they have a young boy working on the floor who would swear at customers and staff alike if they didn't eat all their food or if they weren't moving quickly enough which i thought was absurd. I will never step into one of their restaurants again and encourage others not to as while i was there i heard one of the arrogant adverts they placed on the radio station forth 1, deeply disappointed.

We've recently attended a wine tasting / 5-course meal at George IV Bridge. Value for money comes to mind! We tasted 5 (very good) wines and had 5-courses of deliciously matching food. Yummy! The live music was excellent and a welcome change from the 'elevator music' common in many restaurants.
The staff were very friendly and very helpful and they always seem to have time to smile!
Have eaten there before and would certainly eat there again.
