Even at first glance, you can tell this Indian takeaway is a cut above the rest. Every item on the menu is meticulously described, and most customers are famished before they're half-way through. Sonar Gao prides itself on using fresh ingredients and creating food that will keep people coming back time and time again to what it describes as 'Edinburgh's most finest Indian takeaway'. The food certainly is fine; the chicken passanda is creamy and aromatic and, though mild, is delicately and deliciously spiced, while a starter of spicy garlic mushrooms is enticing and tasty.
