Eating & Drinking Guide

The 2011/12 edition of The List's Eating & Drinking Guide is out now – only £5.95 (+p&p).

This review is taken from the current (2011) edition.

The town of Auchterarder might be on the culinary map thanks to the Gleneagles Hotel and Andrew Fairlie's two Michelin star restaurant, but Amanda Young and Colin McNicoll's lovely deli and café on the High Street, InDulge. Sandwiches are never routine and the day's lunch specials will invariably sound wonderfully intriguing and tempting.

Reviews of inDulge (22 High Street, Auchterarder)

1. Kate McD30 May 2011, 2:27pminDulgeReport

Needing a break in our long drive home, we left the A9 and headed into Auchterarder. Were we glad that all the parking places beside the other eateries were full. I'm disabled and need close by parking, anyway, I digress. Parking right at the door of inDulge, and in we went. What a friendly bunch greeted us, and looking at the variety of dishes and cakes at the chill cabinet.. wow... But the best was yet to come.

Our order was delivered to our table very quickly, and what a feast for the pallet. The side salad alone was a real treat, and the puy lentils with dressing I could eat by the trough full. Since arriving home, we've been recommending inDulge to all and sundry. It almost makes the long trek down the A9 a pleasure, just to stop off at inDulge.. Thanks Colin for telling me the Puy lentil secret ;-)
