Cafe Andaluz is a favourite of ours, normally we always go to west end. Howerver on this occassion we were in town on a Saturday night and decided to try city centre restaurant. We did not reserve a table and were grateful that staff managed to seat us within few minutes. Thats where the customer service ended. Waitress who took our order very unpleasant, wine delivered not very chilled (although still fab - white rioja is delightful!). We ordered paella, took almost 45 minutes to arrive, which we were happy to wait for as it does state waiting time (although slighty less than 45 mins on menu). Food was lovely although portion size for £22 was on the small side. No member of staff topped up wine, checked satisfaction or made attempt to clear our plates after we finished our meal. When waiter eventually cleared our plates no offer of dessert or coffee was made. We had to leave table and find member of staff at reception desk to ask for our bill, meanwhile 4 or 5 members of staff sitting at bar drinking and fooling around paying no attention to customers in the restaurant. When we pointed this out to supervisor/host, she was as uninterested as the rest of the staff on shift. Night and day to the fantastic service we have always received at Creswell Lane restaurant.

I booked a table at this restaurant online. However, when arriving at the place the member of staff queried the booking. Fortunately I had a copy of the booking on my mobile. When this was shown to the member of staff it still didn't change his mood. He merely shrugged his shoulders and found us a table.
A simple 'sorry, there seems be a problem with our system' would have sufficed.
The food was average.

Excellent. We managed to get a table for 5 without prior booking on a very busy Friday night. The staff were amazing, which I appreciate because I am in the same line of work. Superb service, amazing food, great wine, tablet with my cup of tea afterwards - says it all really.
The atmosphere was great and completely relaxed - no stuffiness here. Very reasonable - for 5 of us, including starters, plenty of wine and some deserts only came to about £150.Absolutely loved this place and I'm just looking for the first excuse to come back. We had pals from down south up and it was good to have a place like this to give such a good first impression of glasgow for them.

Wonderful food. Very nice and friendly staff. Beautiful deco! I strongly advise it if you want to have a very nice meal. Try the cava sangria! worthy!
