'Yummy' doesn't begin to do justice to the amazing food on offer at this beloved little bakery/café. Nestled among the less auspicious takeaways and boozers of Easter Road is a haven of culinary perfection. Owned by Martin Wilson, Andrew Massey and Claire Coussmaker, it is a relatively new takeaway bakery/café that has gone from strength to award-winning strength. It really is worth trying to snag one of the two tables for a sit-down experience of the sweet and savoury goodies on offer. The dazzling array of confectionery that looks far too pretty to dismember with a fork includes individual cheesecakes with perfect texture, subtle flavour and little hats of jewel-like fruit. For chocolate lovers, slices of pleasure-laden cakes satisfy even the strongest cravings. Add to that the perfectly indulgent main meal items - lashings of items en croute, in pies, on bread - and you can't go wrong. Or go hungry. There's also the handy pick'n'mix fillings bar that makes catering to food intolerances really easy. Plus, it's all created without the aid of additives, shelf life improvers or flavour enhancers. And they have beautiful floral displays. And the prices are great. And . . . you get the point.
