This review is taken from the current (2011) edition.
This traditional Italian chain has been a popular staple in Glasgow since 1991, with its original Sauchiehall Street branch – cosy, with wooden booths and decorative tiles – and most recent St Vincent Street outlet – modern, with grand marble staircase – both handy for office workers, while the more spacious Byres Road branch with wide aisles and an overhead mezzanine is ideal for large parties and families. All three venues share the same cheerful ethos and permanent menu, which focuses mainly on pizzas, pastas and Italian meat and fish dishes – though there is a decent vegetarian selection. A beetroot and goat's cheese salad starter is a good combination of sweet and tart, but the no dressing means dry mouthfuls of rocket. Tagliata sirloin steak strips, however, are perfectly medium rare, juicy with lightly roasted vegetables and sautéed potatoes, in a dish that's well balanced for flavour. Authentic Italian gelato varieties to choose from include the rather less authentic Scottish tablet, but it's deliciously smooth and sugary. There are also good value lunch and pre-theatre deals available across the branches.
- High point: Reliable and informal
- Low point: Unchanging menu

Visited early evening mid week. The staff were very pleasant and attentive.
Restaurant is much bigger than it appears from the outside and the layout is a bit open plan for me which I feel takes away some of the atmosphere.
However I cant fault the food which was very good. I had the Pollo Milanese with spaghetti and my partner had Lasagne Al Forno. All in all very nice.
