The List's Eating & Drinking Guide 2008 is now in the shops. This review is taken from the 2007 edition.
Fish and chips down by the sea has always been a classic combination, though to be honest, Pierinos would fare just fine wherever it was located. The chips, so often a squidgy let-down, are crisp on the outside and soft and fluffy within. None of the mains suffer from grease overload, but are hot, full of flavour and filling in every case. There is a fairly dazzling array of starters, including haggis nuggets, vegetable pakora and the always tasty spicy chicken wings. With an interior that is bright and welcoming, and staff who seem genuinely friendly and interested, a trip to Pierinos is sure to cheer up your day.
