The Links Bar is the kind of establishment where anyone over thirty might feel out of place. Populated by gregarious guys and giggling gals, this is very much a student haunt especially popular with those looking for a raucous afternoon of televised rugby or football. The sporting theme runs throughout the bar with pictures of Scottish sports heroes found in among the wide-screen TVs. Choose from a range of nachos, pastas and burgers with a multitude of fillings. These might not win any awards, but if you are looking for some sustenance to set you up for the evening ahead or are too distracted by the game to take much notice of the finer points of dining then that is neither here nor there. Usually busy – and indeed often full – the Links Bar has found its target market and caters to it well.
- High point: Quick service
- Low point: Extremely noisy and busy
