Howies CellarReport -
You can never go wrong with Howies. Solid, dependable - we've never had a bad meal there. It's perhaps not going to set the world alight with cutting-edge cuisine, but if you're after good value, well-prepared Scottish fare with cheerful service then Howies is the place for you.
Worth remembering it's BYOB - but there's a handy Oddbins just around the corner from the Alva Street branch.
