This review is taken from the current (2011) edition.
The Sorn Inn has earned many plaudits for putting a quiet little Ayrshire village on the map, among them a much-prized Michelin Bib Gourmand for good food at moderate prices, which it has now held for five years. The old whitewashed inn houses a relaxed restaurant combining fine dining and brasserie-style elements, and owner-chef Craig Grant's menu also manages to balance the elaborate and the homely.

The Sorn InnReport -
This restaurant offered fine dining quality food for gastro-pub prices.
The quality and complexity of the food was of the highest standard.
This is truly a hidden Diamond.
Steaks are aged and cooked perfectly with perfect accompaniments.
The specials are always of the finest local produce.
The atmosphere was relaxed and staff attentive but not overly fussy.----------if you have not eaten at this restaurant, make a date in your diary, if you are disappointed I will pay for your meal---------------
