This popular West End deli has a large welcoming window that throws lots of light around the tall ceilings, black and white floors distressed wooden panels of its rustic bountiful setting. Always suffused in the stimulating aroma of baking dough, Delizique’s shelves, counters and floors are busy with baskets of deli delights such as home-made pies, tarts, fresh baked breads, olives, cheeses, soups, coffees, fruit, teas, wines and locally sourced vegetables. Staff are open, knowledgeable and happy to chat through the multiplicity of goods on offer – from thin-crusted Italian pizzas prepared on the premises in an open kitchen and bakery at the back of the shop to the eclectic colourful contents of various bowls and salads. The 'Big Piece' is a daily special made as a giant ciabatta sliced into portions – fillings vary from cool and sophisticated cream cheese and salmon to a hot pizza style tomato and mozzarella.
