What started out 15 years ago as a humble van beside a Woodlands Road petrol station has turned into something of a Glasgow institution. There are now branches across the city, including newly opened outlets in Buchanan Galleries and Shawlands. Known for doing French crêpes with a Glaswegian twist, each outlet (save for that original van) has a simple green interior with hints of Paris seen in photos, logos and espressos. Staff spin fresh crêpes on big, black hot plates and then stuff them with the filling of your choice. Such creations include bolognese with cheese, curried chick-peas or, for something sweet, After Eights with cream and crème de menthe. The chocolate, banana and strawberry version is a hot, gooey and satisfying treat, popular with kids and naughty adults alike. Sandwiches, panini and other snacks are also available.
