The List's Eating & Drinking Guide 2008 is now in the shops. This review is taken from the 2007 edition.
Loon Fung, which opened in 1971, claims to be Scotland's 'first traditional Chinese restaurant'. In 2006, the premises were renovated and the word 'New' was added to the name. Specialities include Cantonese dishes, lobster and barbecued duck. In addition to the à la carte menu, the New Loon has various bargain meals. The business lunch (till 3pm) is complemented by a three-course pre-theatre selection (till 6.30pm) that is just under £9. Then, after 11pm, a two-course banquet is about £10. [Not recently visited.]
