This Marchmont restaurant, and its sister venture on Gorgie Road, mix up well known Thai dishes with aromatic Southeast Asian delicacies. Although their creamy, fragrant tom ka soup is difficult to overlook as a starter, Tibetan chicken wings, Japanese tempura or Indonesian lamb chops make tasty alternatives. Weekday meal deals are excellent value, with a starter, main course and steamed rice or noodles for under a tenner. Their versions of signature Thai green or red curries and pad Thai noodles are reliably delicious, blending delicate flavours with spicy heat. Service is chirpy, and they score brownie points for fast delivery times. Allow 15 minutes for takeaway or collection for phoned-in orders, and normally less than 45 for delivery.
