This review is taken from the current (2011) edition.
For some it may be a let-down to find that buffalo is not actually on the grill, but any disappointment should be tempered by some rather fine steak. After all, that's what customers have been coming for for more than twenty years. But before jumping straight to the mains, try the appetisers. Especially fine is the shrimp tempura: crisp, light batter enveloping succulent king prawns, although the accompanying chilli dipping sauce tastes sadly shop bought. The blackened chicken wings are also good value; the spicy coating packs a real punch. For those avoiding red meat there are some serviceable chicken and fish dishes, the chorizo chicken in a warmly spiced tomato and jalapeño sauce is satisfying, if verging on generic. Various cuts of steaks are well cooked and, as well as traditional sauces such as lemon pepper and Roquefort, there are a couple of modern twists such as smoky chipotle chilli, tomato, lime and coriander. All in all a satisfying experience – and it’s BYOB.
- High point: Friendly and laid-back
- Low point: Lacking in originality

Buffalo GrillReport -
I went for the first time last night with my boyfriend and we had a thoroughly pleasant time. We shared the tempura prawns to start, which were tasty - although as the List's review says I suspect the sauce was shop bought. Still good though. I ordered a BG's French (rib eye steak in a brandy/wine/mushroom sauce) which was good. The steak was cooked to medium just as I'd asked, and quite tender. The sauce was delicious and the chips were good too. My boyfriend ordered the rather mammoth T-bone steak which was amazing - he let me try a bit of the sirloin side and it was the nicest melt-in-your-mouth steak I've had in a long time. We'll definitely be back.
