Favorit is a late night diner for the young and hip and – most importantly – for those with the munchies. Black and white chequered tiles, retro tables and benches and a large, red neon Favorit sign set the scene. All that's missing is Pulp Fiction's Uma Thurman or Cocktail's Tom Cruise characters doing their thing, though you may catch sight of talented staff members giving the bottle spinning a go. The menu ranges from egg-dipped tomato, cheese and bacon sandwiches to the usual suspects: wraps with salami, sun-dried tomato and mustard mayo, panini of chicken, bacon and brie, salads and toasties, all available any time, be it breakfast, lunch or dinner. Favorit's famous nachos with an ice-cream Coke float, or Belgium waffles with ice-cream and chocolate sauce hit the spot between times, while tapas and tasty design-it-yourself smoothies are also available. Alternatively, hang out with your posse for a White Russian or an Irish coffee, which are great for regaining some sense of the world after a heavy night. For an evening boost instead of the pub, Favorit's modern retro vibe makes for a cool retreat.
- High point: Perfect for an easy drink and snack at two in the morning
- Low point: The food can lack the oomph the vibe oozes
