The 2011/12 edition of The List's Eating & Drinking Guide is out now – only £5.95 (+p&p).
This review is taken from the 2010 edition.
The Peking Inn has been at the forefront of Chinese dining in Glasgow for 25 years. It has a welcoming interior with Chinese lanterns and music playing in the background. The menu is vast, almost to the point of confusion – there is a vegetarian selection but the tofu options are listed elsewhere. At any rate, the sheer length of the menu means there will be something to suit, even if it takes a while to spot. But any queries are dealt with happily by the attentive and knowledgeable staff. On offer for starters are prawn toast, dim sum, spring rolls and noodles – the chilli and black bean sauce with crispy noodles is mild enough to allow the black bean flavour to permeate. Vegetable kung po from the selection of mains is an extremely hot but satisfying combination of cabbage, baby corn, peppers and water chestnuts with a sauce that is light and full of flavour.
- High point: A large menu with plenty for veggies
- Low point: Can take a while to digest the information

Peking InnReport -
The staff are friendly and will adapt the menu to suit your needs, vegetarian especially.
The food is delicous always hot and tasty. They have a Thai curry menu as well.
The staff are always aware of if you are enjoying your meal and will do anything to help out (serve the rice for you without you asking).
Despite the minty green decor the Peking Inn is my favourite Chinese restauraunt.
