Win tickets to see The Lemonheads

Sorry, this offer has closed.

The Lemonheads are coming to the HMV Picturehouse on 18 April 2012 and we have three pairs of tickets to give away.

Written in 1992, The Lemonheads' It’s a Shame About Ray propelled the band to modest international popularity. If Lovey captured Evan Dando as he found his signature blend of punk-pop, jangle pop, and folk-rock, It's a Shame About Ray is where he perfected that style. Breezing by in under half an hour, the album is a simple collection of sunny melodies and hooks, delivered with typical nonchalance by Dando.

After performing the album in its entirety for a 2010 tour, the Evan Dando-led band decided to go back on the road, featuring It’s a Shame About Ray from beginning to end. It is likely the band will also perform favourites from their extensive nine-album catalogue.
