The List is looking for a highly motivated individual to fill the position of Research Manager. The prime responsibility is to maintain and develop our position as market leader for arts and entertainment listings in support of the strategy of the company: to offer the best what's on service in the UK.
The Research Manager will have strong research and editorial skills with an arts background. Candidates do not need formal technology qualifications but will need to demonstrate aptitude and an interest in developing their technical capabilities. The role may also suit an arts aware database specialist.
The candidate will have an active interest in the arts and relevant editorial skills. We are looking for someone who can lead by example, taking a hands-on role in the collection, processing, editing and forward-planning of events data at all stages from phoning up small local venues to overseeing multiple xml data feeds. You will be responsible for the accuracy and timely delivery of listings and feeds to clients.
The Research Manager will work closely with our award-winning digital, editorial and commercial teams. Great attention to detail and the ability to both manage and motivate staff and meet tight deadlines are essential to the role.
The position is full time, based in our busy Edinburgh office and with a salary according to experience. The appointee will be a member of the management team.
