The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh invites applications for an Exhibitions Officer to join the Exhibitions department. This post is being offered as a 1 Year Fixed Term Appointment.

Specific responsibilities of the role include:

* Programming and curating six art exhibitions per year in the Gateway Gallery
* Developing and curating one craft exhibition per year in the temporary exhibition space
* Organising the exhibition programme for the Edinburgh International Science Festival
* Contributing to the planning, development and installation of an annual summer exhibition in the temporary exhibition space
* Helping to replace approximately 1/3 of exhibits in the permanent exhibition space on an annual basis

You must possess a degree, postgraduate qualification or equivalent in exhibition design, museum curatorship or other relevant field as well as having an understanding of exhibition design and curatorship, be willing to work as part of a small team, be organised and possess practical skills and creativity. An interest in botany, gardening, wildlife or the environment is desirable.
