The film is impressively acted by a mostly non-professional cast. While there are no references to the on-going strife in Lebanon, this is still a political film, and a tender tribute to female solidarity.

Whilst robbed of any wider social resonance, this is an amusing enough take on the agonies of youth, and 'Charlie Bartlett' deserves a B+ for effort.
