The Golden Record: Sounds of Earth

In 1977, Dr Carl Sagan of NASA sent two records full of sounds and images designed to convey Earth life to aliens. Using the same images and sounds as stimulus, the Collective has commissioned 116 artists, musicians, comedians and theatre-makers to each create an individual piece of work, in a contemporary recreation of Sagan's Golden Record.
