West End Festival
Date Location
One of the widest-ranging multi-arts festivals in the country, the West End Festival seems to swallow the West End's entire cultural output for the three weeks of its duration. The sterling music line-up (which in 2011 featured The Horrors, Alasdair Roberts and the Fence Collective) and the carnivalesque Festival Sunday are especially noteworthy. On the final Saturday, The Hidden Lane Festival opens the door on the city's creative collective, including open studios and exhibitions .
