A number of artists, including Gordon Cheung, Etienne Clement, Jake & Dinos Chapman, Damien Hirst and Andy Warhol have engaged with the subject of the end of the world as we know it, and with some claiming the apocalypse is nigh at the end of 2012, Edinburgh Printmakers has pulled together an apocalyptic selection of contemporary prints to ensure that we're all culturally sated as we hurtle towards the infinite black. Emory Douglas: Seize the Time

Emory Douglas was Minister of Culture for the Black Panthers between 1967 and their dissolution in 1980. During that time he forged a unique and influential graphical style, designing the Panthers' newspaper The Black Panther as well as posters, cards, illustrations and cartoons. This exhibition looks at his iconic posters. Part of Glasgow International Festival of Visual Art.

John Clerk of Eldin (1728–1812)

John Clerk of Eldin was a true product of the Scottish Enlightenment. A successful businessman, he made enough money to devote himself to art and science. He went on geological tours with James Hutton, became an expert on naval tactics (publishing the first major handbook in English on the subject) and was also an accomplished artist. This is an exhibition of his fascinating etchings.
