  • Written by: Egle Mei

Artist Egle Mei carried out a series of workshops in hospitals during which she recorded heart electrocardiographs (ECGs) of the participants. These were encoded as music and turned into works for string quartet by composers Meike Holzmann and Ian Stephens, performed here by the Liverpool String Quartet.
