One of the widest-ranging multi-arts festivals in the country, the West End Festival seems to swallow the West End's entire cultural output for the three weeks of its duration. The sterling music line-up (which in 2011 featured The Horrors, Alasdair Roberts and the Fence Collective) and the carnivalesque Festival Sunday are especially noteworthy.
