Choreographer Akram Khan joins forces with acclaimed writer Hanif Kureishi and multi award-winning composer Nitin Sawhney, bringing together a new company of nine dancers in collaboration with China's classical ballet flagship company, the National Ballet of China. The resulting piece, 'bahok', is a new take on the story of the Tower of Babel.

Lizzie has an overactive imagination. That's what her mum says. So when a weird old woman in a caravan appears on the other side of the canal, Lizzie's mind goes into overdrive. This new TAG production, aimed at 8-12 year olds, has a heavyweight pedigree - the script is by Davey Anderson ('Snuff', 'Rupture'), who also arranged the music for both this production and 'Black Watch', and is directed by Guy Hollands.

Vanishing Point and the National Theatre of Scotland have adapted cult Czech film-maker's Jan Svankmajer's film, about a couple whose obsession with having a baby leads them to carve a monster out of a tree stump. The heavyweight cast features the wonderful Pauline Goldsmith, and Sandy Grierson, recently brilliant in 'Fergus Lamont' and 'Subway', who also co-adapted the script.
