A guide-supported road bike ride around that's going further afield this year. For 2013, it's an overnighter, returning to Peebles around midday. Free, but a deposit is required as places are limited. Booking is essential.

A cross country bike ride through the lesser known natural parts of the Tweed Valley in a route that takes in forest tracks, drove roads, well trodden hill paths and rarely used ancient passes. The route is extensive and can be tricky so come fully prepared for a self-guided, self-sufficient day out.

The Peebles High School Mountain Bike Club head up this informal, non-competitive teenagers' ride out. Qualified local helpers are also on hand to guide participants through the local trails for two to three hours. Ages 12–18; parental consent required.
