The 11th sponsored cycle organised by the University of Glasgow to promote this fun and healthy activity and raise essential funds for leukaemia research. Families and riders of all abilities are welcome and you can chose between a 13 and a 26 mile route, both starting and finishing in Kelvingrove Park.

The Dundee Cyclathon 2013, a cycle run around Dundee's Green Circular Route, will take place on Sun 15 Sep 2013. It starts and finishes at Camperdown Park.

The flagship endurance event of the TweedLove Bike Festival, The Glentress Seven is a seven-hour mountain bike race for individuals and teams of two or three. Locals share some of their favourite trails on friendly, informal bike rides around the valley.

Starting from Syon Park in Brentford, visit Fulmer and Burnham Beeches before stopping for lunch by the river at Marlow. The route then heads up into the Chiltern Hills and across Christmas Common to Chalgrove on the way to finish at Oxpens Meadows where there will be live music, refreshments and a beer tent.

A day cycling from Richmond Green to Alexandra Gardens. A choice of 55 or 37 miles on-road routes or an alternative 29 mile route through lanes and villages of the Thames Valley.

A cross country bike ride through the lesser known natural parts of the Tweed Valley in a route that takes in forest tracks, drove roads, well trodden hill paths and rarely used ancient passes. The route is extensive and can be tricky so come fully prepared for a self-guided, self-sufficient day out.

Join the Countryside Rangers for this chance to ride the Cathkin Brase Commonwealth Games MTG track and soak up nature while you get your cycle on. A basic level of off road competency needed. Meet in the car park. Booking is essential.

Not for the faint hearted – teams take part in an action-packed day including a 16-mile walk (or run) from Drymen to Callander then a 39-mile cycle to Kenmore. A party and feast await the intrepid participants upon their finish. Teams should include four people and each team member is asked to raise a minimum of £350.

The Hawaii Tweed event reimagined as a gigantic gravity slalom party, with a course featuring new tracks, new berms and features and tabletops sculpted by Richard Hamilton. There'll also be a kids' event, and of course a BBQ, because a party isn't a party without a BBQ.

Cycling fun for the whole family, with a ramp and obstacle track for those fresh off training wheels and a balance bike race for 2–4 year olds who can't pedal yet, along with all sorts of other challenges and mini races for those a bit more accomplished.
