The Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant

The Queen and The Duke Of Edinburgh wave to crowds from the Royal Barge as part of one of the largest flotillas ever assembled on the Thames, comprising more than 1000 historic boats, steam vessels, pleasure craft and rowing boats. Members of the armed forces, fire, police, rescue and other services also take to the water, transmitted live to big screens along the route, which allow the public to enjoy the pomp and pageantry including a gun salute and the chiming bells of a floating belfry.
