Add a little je ne sais quoi to your evening with a selection of Paris-inspired classical works. Stéphane Denève will conduct Mozart's 'Symphony No 31 ('Paris')', Poulenc's 'Concerto for Two Pianos' and 'Concert champetre' and Offenbach's 'Gaité Parisienne' with its quintessentially French Can-Can. With pianists Frank Braley and Eric Le Sage, and harpsichordist Jory Vinikour. Plus pre and post-concert events in the foyer.

Royal Scottish National Orchestra: Fire and Ice

The great Neeme Jarvi joins the RSNO for a performance of Prokofiev's mighty 'Symphony No 5', the most popular of his seven symphonies. Expect also pyrotechnics and emotional fireworks aplenty in Sibelius' 'Violin Concerto', performed by soloist Vadim Gluzman. Sibelius' tone poem 'The Oceanides' completes the programme. Gordon Bruce (RSNO double bass) gives a pre-concert talk at 6.45pm.
