'Too many notes! And too beautiful for our ears!' So said Emperor Joseph II upon hearing the dazzling Act II soprano arias from Mozart's 1782 opera 'Abduction from the Seraglio'. Here they are performed by Heidi Elisabeth Meier, conducted by Christof Perick. The programme includes Mozart's Symphonies No 38 ('Prague') and 41 ('Jupiter'). A pre-concert talk takes place at 6.45pm.
